Version 1.1 is the first fully tested release of a true 32-bit application that installs and runs in Win9x and WinNT/2000, depending on the operating system. Previous release, Version 1.0x, was the Beta test version. Spec32 is built on CDI's WinDlls Version 3.10 or later true 32-bit instrument driver libraries. Spec32 loads and saves setup files compatible with previous versions of CDI Spec and instrument driver libraries. Spec32 is capable of operating with multiple spectrograph units. To create a multiple spectrograph configuration, select File...Create Configuration. To load a configuration file automatically on starting Spec32, add the full pathname of the configuration file to the command line of the Spec32 icon. For example: Target: C:\Cdi32\Spec32.EXE C:\Cdi32\MyConfiguration.txt To change your hardware installation, re-run ContDevDrv Driver Installer applet, InstDrvGui.exe. IMPORTANT: If you are installing Spec32 for the first time, be sure to install the calibration files provided on the calibration file disk before running Spec32. To install calibration files, copy the entire contents of the calibration file disk into a subdirectory on the hard drive. If you are updating an existing CDI installation, re-installing the calibration files is not required. Spec32 is compatible with CDI SPEC setup files.
