Venteon – Laserquantum OPCPA

The venteon OPCPA provides a unique combination of a few-cycle pulse duration with a pulse energy in the µJ-regime at a high repetition rate. The excellent output stability, and the ability for a CEP-stabilised output, makes this amplifier the ideal source for nonlinear spectroscopy, high harmonic generation and applications in attosecond physics. In contrast to more commonly used Ti:sapphire amplifiers, the unique parametric amplification process of the venteon OPCPA gives rise to a much larger gain bandwidth which maintains the excellent few-cycle pulse duration through the amplification process.

Capacitor Charging Power Supplies


The CCPF family of capacitor charging power supplies utilizes the latest innovations in power electronics to deliver clean and efficient power for pulsed laser applications. A high power resonant inverter insures reliability during all modes of operating conditions. A soft switching power factor circuit ensures near unity power factor with low EMI. CCPF models can drive both PFN loads and reservoir charging circuits. Leakage current is less than 200uA, power factor is greater than 0.99 and conducted emissions meet stringent European regulations. No additional line filter is required to meet EN EN55011 emission requirements.

Recent Development Programs


Custom High Voltage Discharge Boards


Lumina Power now offers the laser and pulsed power market custom HV boards for capacitor charging circuits. Combined with any of the Lumina Power capacitor chargers, these boards give the laser engineer a proven way to quickly design prototype pulsing systems that can transfer directly to production. The IGBT board can handle 1200 Amp at 1200V with a range of pulse widths from 10us through 10ms. Various capacitor configurations can be used with this board to optimize pulse performance and minimize voltage drop.

The IGBT/Cap board incorporates the high voltage switches and the capacitors along with a safety current sensing circuit to detect lamp current and cut off the discharge current path to protect the optics from over power. The standard board can accommodate up to 2400uF at 900 volts but more capacitance can be used at lower voltages.

We also offer capacitor boards without the switch and custom configurations for almost any OEM application.

Flashlamp Driver Unit with Auxiliary Outputs


A unique design for several medical laser companies, this power supply combines our CCPF capacitor charger technology with a high voltage pulse forming network, simmer, trigger and all auxiliary voltages allowing the customer to operate the complete laser from one source. Input section features active power factor correction and is filtered using a low leakage filter section that meets medical low leakage standards. Capable of output voltages to 1500V at a 1000J/s this system can be configured for both traditional pulse forming networks or partial discharge operation. Auxiliary voltages are +5, +15, -15 and +24VDC (other options are available) and a simmer output of 150mA with an open circuit voltage of 1000V. This versatile platform can be easily reconfigured for many applications in a short period of time reducing lead time and setup costs.

Electroplating Power Supply


Designed for the semiconductor industry this multi-channel precision electroplating power supply utilizes Lumina Power's unique current-source technology to control the deposition process. Single output models can be designed using existing designs to minimize development time.

Laser Diode Driver with DC Input


In response to requests from several customers we now offer laser diode drivers with 24 to 48V DC inputs. Available in 100 and 150 watt power levels they can be configured to your exact voltage and current requirements. Other than the DC input, they share all of the standard LDD specifications.

Multi Output Laser Diode Driver


This custom laser diode driver was designed for a medical laser application and combines the main 150watt laser diode output with a 200 watt, 24VDC TEC chiller output that can be configured for single ended or bipolar operation. The power supply also includes auxiliary outputs of +24V, B115V, and +5V. In this application all of the power for the laser system is supplied by this power supply reducing emissions and lowering current leakage to well below the medical standard. This model also features a universal 90 to 264VAC, power factor corrected input.
