Epitex Releases New High Power Surface Mount LED: SMBB


This high power surface mount LED from Epitex, Inc. SMBB is made of a single 1.0 x 1.0 mm high power chip mounted on a copper heat sink in a 5 x 5 mm package and encapsulated with silicone.    Compared with its sister product SMB, SMBB's footprint is smaller thanks to its leads wrapped under the package. The silicone lens of SMBB reduces the risk of damage on LED caused by vapor pressure during solder reflow, making SMBB very robust and user friendly.  SMBB is currently offered in more than 20 peak wavelengths between 395 nm and 980 nm and comes with 2 emission patterns; +/- 11 (-02 over-molded lens) and +/- 64 (flat surface) degrees.     Please review the product catalogs of some SMBBs at the left

The taccor is a range of femtosecond lasers with a GHz repetition rates. Uniquely, they are hermetically sealed with an ultra-low noise pump laser which ensures they are a true turn-key solution that is self mode-locking and maintenance free.

There are three variants that offer the highest power, the shortest pulse duration or a selectable wavelength.

Gigajet 20 (example model)

gigajet is a femtosecond oscillator designed to deliver 850mW up to 2W of average power at between 333MHz and 1GHz repetition rate. Its temperature controlled housing ensures stable performance over long periods. Passive repetition rate stability of 100Hz has been demonstrated


Other solutions


HASSP-THz is a time-domain THz transmission spectrometer with 1GHz spectral resolution and a spectral coverage in excess of 6THz for scientific applications. The system uses high-speed asynchronous optical sampling as enabling technology and thus operates without mechanical delay line at up to 10kHz scan rate



Tera-SED is a planar large-area GaAs based photo- conductive emitter for impulsive generation of broad- band Terahertz (THz) radiation



TL-1000 enables tight phase-locking of Gigajet oscillators or the taccor to an external reference with less than 100 fs jitter.
